Embodying weightlessness and movement of the free spirit to seek out belongingness and warmth. FLOCK, meaning a group or congregation, searches for the warmth in our innermost circle - a group of friends or family members, our flock that we belong to, much akin to a flock of birds. FLOCK uses warm lighting incorporating threaded wool yarn on light bamboo, making a silhouette of a bird's wing, exhibiting the fragility of FLOCK.
COLLECTION
FLOCK I Lantern
A cycle of feathers strewn together along a bamboo lamp base. A portable light that can be held with its strap.
FLOCK II Ceiling Light
Two halves a circular cycle of wings encircling a warm bulb - almost like a still image of a flying bird.
FLOCK III Floor Lamp
A wave of wings encapsulating the warmth within. An almost intimidating piece of work that reflects fragility and beauty.
